A Few Population Facts About Egypt

The current population is around 74 million, with over 11,000,000 in the capital city, Cairo, alone. The main language of the country is first Arabic, second is English and lastly French. The main religions in Egypt are Sunni Muslim and Coptic Christian. The currency accepted and used in Egypt is the Egyptian pound. he average person’s life expectancy is around 68. Because most of the country is not well educated the literacy percent is only 58%.
