There was a family on the south side of town with a giant television antenna on their home that could periodically get a picture but it was mostly obscured by the poor signal quality. At that time many of our neighbors only had outside communication with short wave radios and our one radio station was devoted mostly to the school of the air, cricket and horse racing. Now the satellite internet Australian program wants to put the internet in every home in Australia. The trouble with progress is that is just seems to come to late.
