In comparing Dish Network vs Direct TV does either offer trial packages

Other programs would be nice to be able to try new things–learn a new skill like decorating, see new places thru the travel channels or revisit old favorites like movies from my childhood I would like to be able to try short term trial packages in satellite TV without a contract. This would allow me to experience a variety of programs before I decide what ones I want on a long term basis. In looking at the top 2 companies–Dish Network vs Direct TV I am researching to see what options they offer in trying a variety of programming options on a short term basis.
