Command

The fixmbr command is used primarily for writing a new master boot record to the hard drive you had specified. To use the command you have to be in the recovery console. Only Windows XP and 2000 have the recover console available to use. If you have trouble using the command or finding out how to use it, there are various websites that supply the right tips and videos for you to accomplish what you are looking for. If that fails, any computer technician should know of the command, and would be happy to help if you know of one to call.
