You are probably already aware of the fact that Private Duty Nursing Jobs can involve round-the-clock care for a patient either in the hospital or at home. But are you aware that you may have to perform other duties for your patient as well? This is especially true in a residential setting. A live-in nurse or one who stays a number of hours daily might count the performance of household chores in his or her list of duties to be accomplished. This can include cleaning or fixing the patient’s bedroom, or planning and cooking his or her meals. And if the patient is a child, the nurse will also have to find ways to provide entertainment — to make the experience a pleasant one for both the caregiver and the patient!
