Resisting Wisdom

It is fairly natural to resist opportunities to learn that are all around us. One way we do this is by not listening to others. Listening to others is one of the pillars of wisdom. But there is a classis argument that we all understand immediately which goes like this: “Listen to me.” “No, you listen to me!” This exemplies a big problem we all have which is we want others to believe and take our opinion and we resist listening to theirs. It could be that there is wisdom in just listening. You don’t have to agree, but you always can listen.
