There’s a funny reason why a combination microwave is perfect for college students to keep in their dorm rooms, and it’s not to save space. I heard one college student talking about how her campus didn’t allow toasters in the dorm rooms, so she bought a combination microwave oven with a built-in toaster. Since the toaster was hidden in its own little compartment behind a door, no one was ever the wiser about it. Now, don’t say that I encouraged anyone to bend their dorm rules, but I thought it was worth a chuckle at how this girl secretly became popular with the toasted bagel-loving crowd. In all seriousness, though, a microwave and toaster combo would save space in a college student’s apartment.
