One Summer to Build a Deck But Years to Enjoy It

We had just moved from Florida where our entire back yard consisted of a pool and my husband wasn’t eager to do outdoor maintenance. But, when I got pictures of redwood decks, showed him how easy deck cleaning michigan homes could be, and offered to help, he agreed to build one. We spent the following summer building our project and finally it was stained, sealed and ready for a barbecue. After the first party and a lot of compliments, my husband admitted he was enjoying the deck. When spring came around and all he had to do was house it down, he really appreciated it. We’ve both enjoyed more as each year has passed.
