Are you Worried that Someone you Know is Drinking too Much?

A drink problem, like many other forms of addiction, can creep up on its victim and ensnare them in its web well before the victim realises that a problem even exists.Often it is left to a friend or relative to step in and attempt to block the ugly path to self-destruction. But identifying a drink problem in others is never an easy task, especially in the case where the drinker tries to conceal his problem from friends.Anyone with a suspicion that a loved one is becoming dangerously dependent on alcohol should ask themselves a serious of questions about the drinking habits of their friend. Has there been an increased level in consumption recently? Are they drinking more frequently and do you suspect that they often drink alone? Has there been a change to their social and leisure habits?If you are worried that a friend or family member is dependant on alcohol, a non-judgemental and caring word with them might be enough to encourage them to seek help through treatment programs such as alcohol rehab or counselling.
