Getting a new tattoo
July 6, 2009 on 11:03 am | By admin | In ArtsI was thinking about getting a tattoo but I am scared that it will hurt really bad. Does it hurt to get a tattoo? All of my friends have tattoos and I really want to get one. Usually I would be willing to do anything but there is something about getting stabbed with a needle repeatedly that just does not sound like fun. There are a few different things that I want to get for a tattoo and the only thing holding me back is the fact that I know it will hurt I just don’t know how bad. Everyone keeps trying to convince me that it wont hurt that bad. Maybe ill just say lets do this and quit thinking about how bad its going to hurt.
I’d Like to Sew my Daughter’s Wedding Dress
July 4, 2009 on 4:38 am | By admin | In ArtsAs a seamstress, I’m always fascinated by how clothing is constructed. Looking at pieces and mentally picking them apart is a fun activity. I’m particularly fond of doing this with wedding pictures. The dresses are timeless and classic and the exercise always teaches me a lot about construction techniques and style. West Sussex wedding photographers take particularly great shots for this. The detail and lighting is amazing and they often include close up shots that help me to see exactly how the dress was made. I didn’t sew when I was married, but I think by the time my own daughters get married, my skills will be available to make their perfect wedding dress.

June 12, 2009 on 10:58 am | By admin | In ArtsMost of us have cameras and record our lives as little moments stopped in time. Our images are of memorable times we want to hold onto. They are the most valuable pieces of our self. Years ago I wondered why my images were nothing like what I saw and felt at the moment I took the picture. My first experience was with a little 110 Instamatic on my first backpacking trip to Yosemite in 1970.photography tips One is a left brain techno thing. It involves f-stops, shutter speeds, depth of field, and a bunch of stuff the other part of your brain wants anything to do with. Like in my early years I knew there were left brain things I needed to learn to capture those right brain moments in front of me.
Solve Jewelry Allergies
June 10, 2009 on 5:21 am | By admin | In ArtsI had an aunt that insisted that my uncle buy her only “pure gold” jewelry, due to the fact she was “allergic” to any other jewelry. My poor uncle had to discover, to his chagrin, that there really isn’t any “pure gold” jewelry, which would be too soft to use in any practical sense, and that my aunt’s allergies cropped up even when he bought the “purest” he could find.free jewelry making An easy approach would be to sell all your nickel containing accessories such as white gold or gold filled jewelry. Then, purchase items that do not contain nickel, but are just as attractive. Copper, although a very base metal to wear, can be worked into beautiful pieces.

Keeping the Smoky Mountain Natrue Fresh
May 21, 2009 on 4:56 am | By admin | In ArtsI often wonder, in spite of all of the nature photography that has been created through the years, if we will ever run out of subjects to photograph. The mystery of nature and wildlife is that it is steadfastly the same and yet perpetually transforming. I will try to clarify some what here. Everyone can recognize the iconic images of the Grand Canyon, Yosemite and other national parks. These scenes have been captured by photographers many times over. Yet, somehow, rarely are any two alike. The variations of the light of day, sunrise or sunset, the clouds or lack of them, and the numerous angles of view all contribute to the final image that is created. When ever I am up in the Great Smoky Mountain nature, I make it one of my goals to try and create a totally fresh look when I am about to photograph a scene that has most likely been done before.
