Unlocked Cell Phones vs “Locked” Cell Phone

September 30, 2008 on 12:10 pm | By admin | In Business

It doesn’t surprise any of us consumers to hear of “locked” cell phone units as a way to make a phone network provider stand against other competitors. Of course, these companies would want to keep their businesses alive and with this kind of business mechanism, they’ll hopefully survive until such time that they can actually dominate the market scene. There’s just a bit of a problem when you put in together a locked cell phone and a consumer – while the former profits from the latter, the latter gets tied if ever he/she couldn’t uphold the contract it has signed with the phone network provider. That’s why our advice to you is to go buy unlocked cell phones - unless you so decide to get tied up with one network provider when your friends, colleagues and family patronizes other rival networks. This, indeed, is plain naivety.
