I’d Like to Sew my Daughter’s Wedding Dress

July 4, 2009 on 4:38 am | By admin | In Arts | No Comments

As a seamstress, I’m always fascinated by how clothing is constructed. Looking at pieces and mentally picking them apart is a fun activity. I’m particularly fond of doing this with wedding pictures. The dresses are timeless and classic and the exercise always teaches me a lot about construction techniques and style. West Sussex wedding photographers take particularly great shots for this. The detail and lighting is amazing and they often include close up shots that help me to see exactly how the dress was made. I didn’t sew when I was married, but I think by the time my own daughters get married, my skills will be available to make their perfect wedding dress.
