Setting White Balance On Your Digital Camera

January 27, 2008 on 2:14 pm | By admin | In Technology

One of the keys to having your pictures turn out properly is to have the white balance set properly.   Don’t know how to set white balance?  No problem.

For most cameras, it’s really quite easy.  You just let your digital camera do all the work and use its “auto white balance” feature.

In most cases that will work and you won’t have to mess with it again.  However, if you do find your pictures turning out too blow or yellow, most cameras also allow you to manually adjust your white balance.  The key to calibrating your white balance is to find something that is white and point your camera at it.  Then tell you’re camera that’s what white is.

Still not working?

Well, if your pictures are turning out too blue then you can use the tungsten feature.  If they’re turning out too yellow, then use the fluorescent feature.

After you have bought the main appliance for barbecuing, you must learn how to operate it. Different bbq smokers have different methods of lighting. If you have bought a charcoal grill, you will have to arrange the charcoal pieces neatly on the grill before adding the fluid to enable bradley smoker. In most cases, people use a newspaper to light the charcoal as it helps the flames to spread evenly and quickly. If you are using a gas grill, make sure that you use it in open spaces. Check for any gas leaks and make sure that the gas cylinder is full before starting the cooking. Electric grills just require plugging and turning the power switch on and you are ready.

Flamingos-A Possible Marketing Niche?

January 26, 2008 on 5:12 pm | By admin | In Business

Perhaps it is a bit extreme, or crazy even, but when you live in Florida as I do, it’s really not that far fetched. I’ve been eating at the same little corner deli for the last 3 and a half years overlooking a local city park. And yes, in this park there are many a flamingo. I’d recently heard about a business term called a marketing niche, and my mind began to swirl the other day as I ate lunch at this little restaurant. Flamingos! Why not? I’m sure I could find a little niche in that somehow, right? There’s only one way to find out!

Here are some tips on what you need to know about dog food safety. With recent recalls, you are probably concerned about what your pet is ingesting. You should never feed your dog table scraps. Some foods, such as chocolate, can be fatal if swallowed by your pet. Table food, and foods that are only to be consumed by humans, can cause your pet to become overweight and lead to congestive heart failure, renal failure, or other conditions. Many dog foods are not adequate in ensuring that your pet is eating a high-protein balanced diet. When it comes to dog food, you shouldn’t try to skimp on the price. The cheaper brands are not good for your pet. The more expensive brands, that you find in pet stores, are the ones that are best for your dog. They are also the ones you will not often find on pet food recall lists.

Travel Nebraska?

January 26, 2008 on 8:16 am | By admin | In News

Is there such a thing as a Nebraska Travel Guide? I mean you have I80 going across the state but other than that why would you travel there. I know I did back when I was working for a large company but they did business everywhere, at least everywhere there was a big city. That’s how they made their money, in fact that’s still where they make their money, it’s just that I don’t work for them any more. They laid me off almost three years ago and so here I am writing blogs instead of fixing machines. I may be better off.

Automatic tithing: built in audit trails

January 26, 2008 on 5:12 am | By admin | In Miscellaneous

Every church accountant is familiar with the concept of an audit trail — this is the necessary documentation that will prove that a contribution was made by a particular person on a particular date. This is one reason why churches rely on automatic tithing programs — these are set up as automated financial transactions, and each separate transaction will be traceable through the appropriate financial institution — thus providing a built-in and iron clad audit trail, both for your church recordkeeping as well as for the records of your church members. The availability of this built-in audit trail for all financial contributions also makes it much less likely that your church will ever become the victim of financial mismanagement or misappropriation of funds.
